Dr. Alexander Jeffrey Kim is a specialist in Dental Implants and Periodontics, currently practicing in Sunnyvale, CA. His passion for lifelong learning began earlyâat just 13 years old, he was accepted to the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy on the East Coast, where he completed his preparatory education. He went on to earn a degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Economics from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Kim pursued his dental education at the University of the Pacific (U.O.P.) in San Francisco, one of the few dental schools offering an accelerated three-year DDS program. He further enhanced his clinical skills through an Advanced General Dentistry residency at U.O.P. before completing a specialized residency in Periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh.
During his three years in Pittsburgh, Dr. Kim focused on both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies aimed at improving jawbone health, gum function, smile esthetics, and implant success. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children.

Office Manager
Holly is a seasoned office manager. She presents treatment plans to patients, creates treatment estimates, reviews insurance coverage and takes care of all the questions or concerns patients might have regarding payments/billing or insurance. During her free time, she loves to travel, be outdoors and spend quality time with her family.

Front Desk Coordinator
Jose is a veteran front desk coordinator and he is here to help. He is excited about helping patients on their journey to a beautiful and healthy smile. He always knew he wanted to be a part of someoneâs journey to better their quality of life. He believes the field of dentistry is the perfect fit for him.
Marlene H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Marlene is a native of San Jose and attended local schools before graduating from Foothill College Department of Dental Hygiene. She has worked most of her career in Periodontics. Her goal is to support and encourage each patient by creating a personalized oral hygiene plan that will focus on individual needs for the long term.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Elizabeth joined our team in 2022. She has been a hygienist for many years and is passionate about great patient care. Elizabeth is excited to work with all of our patients and help them on their journey for long term dental health.
Melissa M.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Melissa has been with our practice since 2005 and has worked in Periodontics most of her dental career. She assisted Dr. Kim during procedures. She also graduated Dental Hygiene school and is now working as our hygienist. She makes sure the patients are comfortable, and she is very attentive to patients’ needs. Melissa speaks fluent Chinese. In her leisure time, she likes hiking, cooking and watching foreign soap operas.

Sheri graduated from Foothill College Dental Hygiene Department and considers herself fortunate to have focused her career in both periodontics and general dentistry. Empowering patients to reach their dental goals as well as look forward to their return appointments has always been Sheri’s focal point. Sheri has been with our periodontal practice since 2003.

Daniel was born in Abilene, Texas. His family moved to San Jose, CA in the mid 1980âs. Daniel has been dental assisting, specifically periodontics, since 2007. Daniel Joined our team as Dr. Kimâs assistant in May 2018. During his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and working on his car.
