Dr. Kim pursued his dental education at the University of the Pacific (U.O.P.) in San Francisco, one of the few dental schools offering an accelerated three-year DDS program. He further enhanced his clinical skills through an Advanced General Dentistry residency at U.O.P. before completing a specialized residency in Periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh.

During his three years in Pittsburgh, Dr. Kim focused on both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies aimed at improving jawbone health, gum function, smile aesthetics, and implant success. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children.
